Bags of Books
“Bag of Books” is a fun resource for families to borrow and enjoy learning together at home. Each bag includes themed books—like board books for babies and toddlers—and related activities to support children’s development. With themes like “Alphabet” and “All About Alberta,” these bags are perfect for kids from infancy to early elementary, with something older children can enjoy too. Parents will also find helpful child development tips. After exploring the books and activities as a family, simply return the bag neatly packed and try a new one!

Where can I borrow a “Bag of Books”?
Newborns Need Books
In partnership with Alberta Health Services, the Newborns Need Books project provides families with a reusable "baby's book bag." Each bag includes a board book, thoughtful gifts, and valuable information on infant development and local services to support parents on their journey.
